These swirly hearts, each one different from the next, some with silver dogs and some with gold, all with the lavender glass basis but with different color mixtures, are a Limited Edition which the company rarely (but sometimes) repeats. We have saved 33 of them for nearly a year, just waiting for special cause, and the time has arrived. Has it ever!

We weren't expecting to sell so many of the brindle hearts so fast for this fundraiser. The generosity of our supporters never ceases to amaze me!

Though the brindle hearts were a limited edition and very few remain, as long as greyhound lovers are willing to purchase hearts for Guam greyhounds, NCG is willing to continue contributing the hearts we DO have!

These solid color Fire & Light hearts are normally available under "Memorial Gifts" for $50 ($60 for the Memorial package with card & contribution), but buying them here and now will contribute the entire $50 to Guam Greyhounds and NCG will cover shipping costs.

"Picturesque"

This smooth, flat stone is from Italy. and whether "Picturesque" is a description or its actual name, its what the vendor at the mineral show called it!

It almost appears as if Brynn is runing from the cliffs to the ocean here in our Northern California landscape...

The box itself measures 2.5" X 2" X 1.5" and is carved from two separate pieces of rosewood, so it has no seams or joints.

Greyhound Spirit Guides

"A totem can be the symbol of a tribe, a clan, a family or an individual. Native American tradition provides that each individual is connected with nine different animals that will accompany him/her through life, acting as spirit guides. Different animal guides come in and out of our lives depending on the direction in which we're headed and the tasks that need to be completed along our journey.

Native beliefs further explain that a totem animal is one that is with you for life, both in the physical and spiritual world. Though people may identify with different animal guides throughout their lifetimes, it is this one totem animal that acts as the main guardian spirit." Wolves, coyotes and dogs are all listed among totem animals, and though the dog isn't specified as a greyhound, I'm certain the greyhound is my personal totem, the jewelry I wear all bears their fetish, like those of the bears, the buffalo and the beaver represented in this photograph. As a matter of fact, I'm sure that all nine of my spirit guides are greyhounds, too!

I'm embarrassed that I didn't open Rick's package sooner- these coasters are exquisite!

Each is 4.5" across on the bottom, with a coved top that will accommodate a mug 3.25" in diameter. Each has one of our Designer Dogs inlaid in the center, AND etched on the back with Rick's signature initials.

We have only this one set for now, so we're offering them individually- we know you can find a greyhound coffee mug to go with one of these, or give a pair as a gift. You are welcome, however, to order your own pillow, from little ones with a single dog ($75), to this 14" X 14" size, or even larger. Prices will vary according to size and number of figures.

The Ultimate Gift...

Rick Cooper's delicately cut ornaments are not just for Christmas trees! We've a new shipment on the way and have decorated the last two remaining oval ornaments with 18" strands of beads- some with handmade lampwork artistry - to hang in your window all year long.

Each strand has a hook on each end: one for hanging, and one to exchange with either Rick's ornament or the Swarvoski crystal shown in the photograph. We unearthed a dozen of the sparkly crystals purchased long ago, so we've put them to use.

Priced separately for those who already have ornaments, these ornaments are $35, beaded strand with crystal is also $35.

The ornament with strand would make a thoughtful memorial gift, too. Zen Bowl

As seen in the Art Show, Dewey '06, this Zen Bowl, produced from recycled glass by Fire & Light in Arcata, CA, features all eight of NCG's Designer Dogs.

This is a large decorative piece! Measuring 17.25" in diameter and just 3.5" from the tabletop, the Zen Bowl weighs 11.5 pounds and is available in your choice of nine different colors. Note that the etching shows up best against the darker colors like cobalt, plum, copper and olive. Your color choice may be typed into the "comments" box.
